Hornets Mourn Loss of Former Student Athlete

Alabama State Athletics is saddened to announce the passing of former football player Travis Logan, who was killed in a motorcycle accident in Detroit, Mich. over the weekend. 

Logan, 29, played defensive back for the Hornets from 2002-04 and was a member of ASU's 2004 SWAC Championship team. Logan was the Defensive Most Valuable Player of the title game, making 13 tackles and one fumble recovery in the 40-35 victory over Southern. 

In his final season as a Hornet, he led the team with 78 tackles, 2.0 sacks, four pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries. 

The entire Alabama State family expresses its deepest sympathy to the Logan family.
