“We did have a lot of hits today, but we still haven't settled down in the box yet,” head coach Telma Hall said. “We need to execute more with runners in scoring position. We are still trying to string everything together piece-by-piece. Hopefully, we can put one and one together to make it happen. We did show a little improvement at the plate. Meagan is doing her share offensively and we have people such as Brehanna and Sosafina Toilolo who's stepping up as well.”
Ashleigh Bousquet led the way for IPFW (1-0), going 2-4 including four RBIs. Mackenzie Ritsema had a solid game producing two hits and scoring two runs.

Breeya Wright added a single to the pitcher for ASU.
Junior righty
Amanda Gracia suffered the loss going four innings, giving up seven hits while facing 21 batters, including one strikeout.
“The ladies are doing their jobs defensively,” said Hall. “Tomorrow, we're just looking to have better results and hoping to keep fighting every game to the end.”
Alabama State faces Bowling Green at 10 a.m. and Appalachian State at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11 day three at the Auburn Invitational.
