ASU Softball Falls to Kennesaw State and Campbell

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Box Score KENNESAW, Ga. – Game One: The Alabama State softball team fell in game one at the Kennesaw State Tournament Friday, against host team Kennesaw State 11-0.
 
“We have to improve offensively and get more comfortable at the plate,” head coach Telma Hall.
 
Sophomore outfielder Brittnei Price went 2-for-2 and led the Lady Hornets (1-7), with a double to centerfield and a single bunt to first base.
 
Sosefina Toilolo, Mercedes Frazier, and Kim Ross all added singles to right field for Alabama State.  
 
Pitcher Amanda Gracia (0-4) took the loss in the contest for ASU.
 
The Lady Owls (7-1) were led by Sharon Swanson, who went 3-for-4 including two runs and added two RBIs.
 
Box Score Game two: The Lady Hornets (1-8) faced and fell to Campbell 6-0 of the Kennesaw State Tournament today.     
 
Meagan Dixon went 1-for3 and Mercedes Frazier added a 1-for-2 performance to lead Alabama State.
 
Sarah Forgacs went 3-for-3 to lead Campbell (6-6) in the win, while Raven Lee added a 2-for-3 performance on the day.
 
ASU will face Bradley University at noon and Robert Morris College (Ill.) at 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 in day two of the Kennesaw State Tournament.
