ASU Softball Prepared for Lipscomb Tournament

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Alabama State softball team is prepared to participate in the Lipscomb tournament Friday, March 9 in Nashville, Tenn. at the Draper Diamond Softball Complex. The Lady Hornets will face Eastern Michigan at 4:30 p.m. in game one on tomorrow.
 
“We are still looking for consistency, but I'm happy that we're getting better offensively,” head coach Telma Hall said. “We've focused on our mental control of the game during practice this week and we are expecting positive results from it this weekend and finish.”
 
ASU will look to face Drake on Saturday at 10 a.m. On Sunday Middle Tenn. State at 11 a.m. and host team Lipscomb at 1:15 p.m.
 
Other teams participating in the tournament includes: Lipscomb, Drake, and Middle Tennessee State.
 
Alabama State (2-14) is coming off a 7-6 eight inning loss to Western Carolina in the Georgia Tech Buzz Classic on last Sunday.
 
The Eagles (4-11) are coming off a 5-0 win over Gardner-Webb in the Lipton Invitational hosted by the University of Florida.
