Box Score LORMAN, Miss. – The Alabama State softball team defeated Alcorn 5-4 in game one of its three-game series on the “Reservation” today.
“It was a win. Still not on the level that we play, but we played well enough to start turning the tables,” head coach Telma Hall said. “Our defense was our foundation in the beginning of the season and we must add solidity back to our infield to regain that foundation. We are still giving up too many runs off of routine plays. Our pitchers are doing their job to get us the routine plays, so our defense must reward and give our pitching staff confidence by completing the plays.”
