IRONDALE, Ala. – The Alabama State softball team fell 6-1 to Texas Southern, day three of the Southwestern Athletic Conference in Irondale, Ala. at the Shea Brothers Softball Complex.
“I'm proud of the ladies,” head coach Telma Hall said. “It just seemed that every time we hit the ball, it kept falling into Texas Southern girl's gloves. Through all of the ups and downs our team has had in the last few weeks, I am really proud of how this team came out and fought this week in the tournament. It hurts we have to leave early, but the Hornet Softball Program is making strides that will make a fans proud.”
The Lady Tigers scored the first run of the game in the first inning, taking an early 1-0 lead over ASU. TSU scored two more runs in the top of the sixth to take a 3-0 lead.
