MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Alabama State University Lady Hornets (12-35 overall/7-9 SWAC) will host the University of Arkansas Pine-Bluff (7-34 overall/5-11 SWAC) Saturday, May 5 at 1 p.m. on the campus of Jackson State University. This is a make-up game due to inclement weather in Hattiesburg, Miss. during the Southwestern Athletic Conference Round-up which was held back in March.
 
“We are looking to go into this weekend to build momentum going into the tournament next week,” said head coach Telma Hall. “Hopefully, we can just keep fighting to the end and finish the season off strong.”

Senior second baseman Ayesha Famble has a .429 batting average in 15 games played and started this season in conference play. Famble is 21-for-49, has two doubles, a triple, a homer, 15 runs, and 10 RBI. She has a solid slugging percentage of .571, and a .446 on base percentage, going 8-for-8 in the stolen base department.
