Box Score MACON, Ga. – The Alabama State Softball team was overwhelmed 9-0 by the Mercer Bears on Sunday evening at Sikes Field.
 
The Lady Hornets (0-5 overall) had a tough time getting the bats hot today, leaving six runners strained on the base pads. ASU was outslugged by MU 9-5.
 
Brehanna Rodrigues, Meagan Dixon, Bailey Patt, Rachel Mills, and Tamara Williams all had a single each in the contest.
 
Randi Rea went 3-for-3, including two runs and three RBI.  
 
Rodrigues and Dixon were named to the Mercer Tournament All-Tournament team afterwards. On the weekend, Rodrigues had a batting average of .500, going 7-for-14 at the plate, including a triple and four RBI. She also went 3-for-3 in the stolen base department. Dixon led the way for Alabama State going 11-for-17 at the plate with two RBI, including two doubles and a home run.
