Box Score ITTA BENA, Miss.- The Mississippi Valley State Devilettes used an eight run fourth inning rally to defeat the Alabama State softball team 10-2 on Thursday evening at the MVSU Softball Field.
 
The Lady Hornets took an early 1-0 lead in the first as Brehanna Rodrigues scored from third base after taking first base on a five pitch walk and a throwing error by the catcher. A balk by MVSU's Kim Spivery scored ASU's Aleesa Yanez in the fifth, granting Alabama State its second and final run of the game.
 
The Devilettes added runs in the third and fifth innings to close out the contest.
 
The Lady Hornets will close out the series against Miss. Valley State with a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 29 at the MVSU Softball Field.
