BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Alabama State baseball team lost at UAB 7-0 Wednesday at Young Memorial Field.
 
The Hornets (27-19) managed only three hits against Blazer starter Alex Luna. Alabama State starters Richard Gonzalez, Leo Rojas and Dillon Cooper each had hits in the game.
 
UAB (17-25) scored two runs in the second inning, three in the fifth, and two in the seventh inning to complete the scoring in the game.
 
Alabama State continues a stretch of six straight non-conference games when the Hornets begin a three-game series Friday at defending national champion Arizona. First pitch is 8 p.m. CT, with internet radio on bamastatesports.com/showcase.
