Houston, Tx.- The 18^th ranked Alabama State Lady Hornets Bowling team finished the Sam Houston Track Kat Klash in 10^th place.
 
At the end of the classic the Lady Hornets finished with a 5-10 record and a total pin fall of 13,324. Alabama State defeated Adelphi 4-1 and Monmouth 4-1 before falling to UAB 2-4.
 
"To say the least it was an eye opening and disappointing weekend," said head coach Andrew Chatmon 

Danielle Walker led the Lady Hornets with a total pin fall of 1,181 and an average of 196.3. 
 
"This was not the team I am use to seeing, we had some high points, but they were not consistent. We still need to work on our sparing, which is what cost us many of the matches we bowled, "Chatmon said in closing.
 
The Hornets will take time off to practice and prepare for finals until they hit the lanes again January 9-11 for the SWAC West Round-Up.
