Box Score Alabama State softball faced the Tangi Tourism Lion Classic Southeastern Louisiana in their final game Sunday morning.
 
What seemed like an evenly matched game turned out to be a shutout for the Lady Hornets (0-5) falling 4-0 to the SELA (2-2) Lady Lions. The Lady Hornets were able to get two walks and three hits, but couldn't get a run to score. The Lady Lions jumped out on top in the bottom of the second inning scoring three runs and the fourth and final run came in the third.  The Lady Hornets were able to hold SELA for the rest of the game.
 
Alabama State will host its annual Hornet Invitational February, 14-16 at the Barbara Williams Softball Complex. Teams that will be participating are Gardner Webb, North Carolina A&T, Alabama A&M, Hampton. The first game is set for Friday at 11 a.m. which will be Gardner Webb vs. North Carolina A&T. The Lady Hornets first game will be against Gardner Webb at 2:30 p.m.
