The Alabama State softball team will travel to Huntsville, Ala., this weekend to face in-state conference rival Alabama A&M for a three game weekend series Friday and Saturday.
This weekend's slate will consist of a single game on Friday at 3 p.m. and a double header on Saturday at 1 & 3 p.m. at the Alabama A&M Softball Complex.
The Lady Hornets (12-19, 7-4) are looking to add to their conference win total against AAMU (9-26, 1-7) as ASU has one more conference match-up left on the schedule before going to the 2014 SWAC Tournament.
"We are looking to continue our momentum this weekend. That includes scoring our runners, executing all plays, making necessary adjustments and playing as a team," Assistant Head Coach Alyssa Smoke said. "If we do these things we will be successful."
The Lady Hornets return home on April 30th, when they host Jacksonville State at the Barbara Williams Softball Complex, but not before making stops at Alcorn State and Auburn.
