The Alabama State University softball team will travel to Lorman, Miss., for a conference weekend series against the Lady Braves of Alcorn State.
The Lady Hornets swept last season's series 13-2, 4-0 and 12-4.
This will be the first time this season that the Lady Hornets will face the Lady Braves, as Alabama State holds the overall series record at 48-11, and are currently in second place in the SWAC's Eastern Division.
The Lady Hornets are coming off a weekend sweep 3-0 series over Alabama A&M.

Meagan Dixon, who currently is the SWAC leader in batting avg. (.446), slugging pct. (.901), runs scored (41), home runs (10) and total bases (91). Over the weekend against AAMU, Dixon went 6-for-12 (.500) with two doubles, one home run, one walk, four runs scored and seven RBI.
"We are expecting Alcorn to come out and play with a lot of heart after their series with Jackson State last weekend," Assistant Head Coach Alyssa Smoke said. "We will continue to execute our game plan and we look to build off of this last series before when begin preparations for the SWAC Tournament."
