The Alabama State University softball team will travel to Auburn for a mid-week match-up Wednesday, April 23, at the Jane B. Moore Field in Auburn, Ala. The first pitch is set for 6:00 p.m.
Auburn holds the overall series match-up at 7-0. In last season's meeting Auburn was able to hold off ASU 9-6.
All season long the Lady Hornets have rallied around the bat of senior
Meagan Dixon, who currently is the SWAC leader in batting avg. (.450), slugging pct. (.927), runs scored (45), home runs (12) and total bases (101).
Alabama State is coming off a weekend series against Alcorn State, in which the Lady Braves took the advantage over the Lady Hornets 2-1.
"Coming off a tough loss motivates us to come back and prove ourselves again," head assistant coach Alyssa Smoke said. "We are looking to improve by correcting mistakes from this past weekend and making the necessary adjustments."
