MONTGOMERY, AL – Hosting a tournament for a second consecutive weekend, the Alabama State softball team will hold the ASU Hornet Softball Tournament with a bigger field (six teams instead of four) and with more games (14 games instead of 10 during last week's tournament) beginning Friday at 10 a.m. 
 
The packed weekend with have six rolling games on Friday and six more scheduled for Saturday. 
 
Sunday will be the light day with only two games on the slate. 
 
Admission is free for all games.
 
The Lady Hornets (3-9) will play the fifth, sixth, 10^th and 11^th games in the tournament on Friday and Saturday.  [See schedule below] 
 
Among the participating teams include Eastern Kentucky (6-2) of the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC), Akron (2-8) of the Mid-American Conference (MAC), Gardner Webb (6-4) of the Big South Conference, Howard (0-0) of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), and Omaha (4-6) of the Summit League.
