HOUSTON, Texas – The Alabama State women's bowling team went 1-4 during the second day of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) West Round-up as the Lady Hornets picked up a win over rival Alabama A&M on Saturday at the Emerald Bowl.
Alabama State (29-42 overall, 2-7 SWAC) defeated Alabama A&M to highlight the second day of action, 825-518. Tiara Wilkins led the way with a 175, while
Gabrielle Hosein and
Miranda Remmel tallied a 174 and 171, respectively.
Through two days of matches,
Haley Young is 15
th individually, averaging a 167.0 in eight matches. The Lady Hornets have tallied 8,265 total pins, averaging a 165.3 pinfall, in eight traditional matches.
Alabama State opened the day with an 831-865 loss to Grambling State. After the win over Alabama A&M, the Lady Hornets completed the day with losses to Texas Southern (772-992), Jackson State (791-946) and Prairie View A&M (591-958).
