PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Alabama State women's bowling team completed the opening day of the Rattler Invitational as the Lady Hornets went 4-1, including defeating No. 23 UAB.
Alabama State (35-45) opened the day with a 949-882 win over Southern and followed that with a 881-555 victory against rival Alabama A&M. The Lady Hornets rolled three 200-plus games in their third match, including a 220, to defeat UAB, 998-934. Alabama State completed the day with a 986-895 win over Spring Hill, before being edged out by Bethune-Cookman, 860-861.
The Lady Hornets will look to their win total on Saturday in day 2 of the Rattler Invitational.
