Lady Hornets head to Jackson State Invitational this weekend

The tournament is the second in consecutive weeks for Alabama State

MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Fresh off six victories on the opening weekend of play, the Alabama State University bowling team is back in action this weekend as they travel to Jackson (Miss.) for the the Jackson State University Invitational.
 
The tournament runs November 10-12 at Fannin Lanes in Brandon (Miss.).
 
The tournament uses a scratch scoring system. Five-player teams will participate in a three-day competition that includes ten qualifying round matches and multiple rounds of playoff matches. Competition will consist of five (5) matches on day one and two, with total pins. Day three will be step-ladder best-of-seven competitions.
 
The opening day match schedule will be determined by the field size and will consist of Baker play with total pin fall matches. The second day consist of traditional team matches and will be a continuation of pool play from day one.
 
The final day will be match play with a best of seven Baker match. The current season's NCAA playing rules will be used for competition and any tied matches will be broken using the NCAA modified Baker format.
 
The tournament begins at 11 am Friday morning.
