D'IBERVILLE, Miss. – The Alabama State University women's bowling team completed the opening day of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) East Round-up on Friday as the Lady Hornets went 1-3 with a win over Prairie View A&M.
The Lady Hornets began the day with an 852-971 loss to Texas Southern and fell to Jackson State in the second match, 905-936. Alabama State picked up the win in the third match, defeating Prairie View A&M, 1,102-955. The Lady Hornets conclude the opening day with an 832-863 loss to Southern.
In the victory over Prairie View A&M, four Alabama State bowlers rolled 200-plus games.
Rebecca Hresko tosses a team-best 236 in the win, followed by
Haley Young with a 226,
Miranda Remmel at 218 and Gabby Hosien with a 202.
For the tournament, Hresko has totaled 801 pins and is averaging a 200.2 in the four team matches.
Alabama State returns to action on Saturday morning with the second day of action at the SWAC East Round-up in D'Iberville, Miss.
