NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Alabama State University women's bowling team concluded play on Sunday at the 2017 Columbia Music City Classic, hosted by Vanderbilt University.
The Lady Hornets (56-57), who finished the weekend 28
th, went 1-2 during the final day as Sunday's format was a best of seven matches.
Alabama State, which finished with 10,992 total pins for the tournament, opened the day with a 4-0 victory over Howard to advance in the bracket. However, the Lady Hornets concluded play with losses against Franklin Pierce (4-0) and Louisiana Tech (4-2).
Alabama State returns to action on Friday as the Lady Hornets compete in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Bowling Championship in Arlington, Texas
