ASU visits Jackson State in a key three-game SWAC series

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Alabama State University baseball team will look to get back into the win column this weekend as the Hornets open up a three-game Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) series against Jackson State in Jackson, Miss.
 
Alabama State (5-8 overall, 2-1 SWAC) enters the weekend off a tough 10-7 loss at home on Wednesday night to Samford. Jackson State (9-4, 3-0) has won its last five, including a doubleheader sweep of Concordia (Ala.) on Wednesday.
 
The Hornets are seeking their second straight SWAC win as the Tigers opened up SWAC play last weekend with a sweep of Mississippi Valley State.
 
First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Friday, followed by a 1 p.m. game on Saturday and Sunday at the Bob Braddy Field in Jackson, Miss.
