MONTGOMERY, Ala. | With the National Weather Service issuing tropical storm and hurricane warnings along the gulf coast, several athletic events are either being canceled or postponed for the latter part of the week.
 
This will be the second hurricane that will have impacted collegiate athletics this season, with the first impacting the East Coast.
 
Alabama State was set to run in Tallahassee (Fla.) at a meet hosted by Florida State University on the course that they will host the NCAA Regionals. The meet will not be made up, but the Hornets will look for a replacement meet for this weekend.
