@BamaStateBowl set to compete at Track Kat Klash

12 of top-25 teams in the country slated to compete

MONTGOMERY, ALA. | The Alabama State women's bowling team will compete in their second tournament of the season this weekend in Houston at the Track Kat Klash, hosted by No. 4 Sam Houston State.
 
Tournament action gets underway Friday at 9:55 a.m. with five Baker games, with the leaders determined by total pins. Teams will then compete Saturday in team-scoring and the field will close out play Sunday with Baker match play.
 
The event is loaded with nationally-ranked teams, including McKendree (No. 2), Nebraska (No. 3), Sam Houston State (No. 4), Arkansas State (No. 5), Stephen F. Austin (No. 6), UMES (No. 7), Tulane (No. 10), UAB (No. 16), La. Tech (No. 17), Maryville (No. 22), Monmouth (No. 23) and Texas Southern (No. 25). Grambling State, Prairie View A&M, Youngstown State, Alabama A&M and Southern round out the 18-team field.
 
This is the eighth year of the Track Kat Klash and fifth at Emerald Lanes, site of the first women's bowling championship in 2004.
