HOUSTON | The Alabama State women's bowling won two matches on the opening day of the Track Kat Klash at Emerald Lanes, totaling 4,191 pins across five Baker matches.
The Lady Hornets took down rival Alabama A&M (796 – 772) before throttling Southern (965 – 847). Alabama State came up short against No. 2 McKendree (906 – 961), No. 10 Tulane (778 – 980) and No. 7 UMES (846 – 1,029).
The Lady Hornets finished the day with a 167.6 average per game. Alabama State will continue action tomorrow with traditional matches against Monmouth, Maryville, Prairie View A&M, Arkansas State and Youngstown State.
