MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State hits the road Wednesday looking to bounce back from a series loss to Southern, as they take on nationally ranked Auburn at Jane B. Moore Field.

Taylor Rosser leads the team in hitting at .346 with three home runs, but has been out since early March.
Kristin Gunter is hitting .333 in 25 starts this season, collecting 23 hits and scoring 14 runs, while
Charlene Castro is hitting .333 with a pair of home runs and a team-leading 15 runs batted in.
As a team, the Lady Hornets are hitting .263 with 182 hits – including 60 extra base hits on the season.
Vanessa Bradford (2-5) leads the pitching staff with a 3.72 earned run average in 11 appearances (seven starts). She has logged 46.0 innings and has struck out 34. Meanwhile,
Justine Jean (3-5, 7.42 ERA) has logged a team-high 64.0 innings pitched and has struck out 31.
They will be facing an Auburn team coming off a series win over Alabama, and hitting .308 as a team. They are led by Victoria Draper at .448 with 32 stolen bases, while Taylon Snow is hitting .416 on the year. Three other players are hitting over .300 for the Tigers, including Casey McCrackin (.303) who is tied with Kendall Veach for the team lead in home runs with five, while Justus Perry (.319) leads the team in home runs.
The Auburn pitching staff has recorded a 0.85 earned run average through 33 games this season, and is led by Kaylee Carlson (13-1, 0.70 ERA) and Makayla Martin (10-3, 1.10 ERA).
