MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State and Jackson State will square off in a Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) series at the Barbara Williams Softball Complex.

The series is part of softball's 20-year reunion, and is also part of Fan-Filled Weekend at Alabama State.

Alabama State (17-25, 7-4 SWAC) did not play last week due to weather, and last hit the field April 19 on the road against UAB. The last time the Lady Hornets and Jackson State (8-29, 2-13 SWAC) met, Alabama State was able to come out on top in Jackson (Miss.) last season.

Kaylee Davis leads the team in hitting at .311, with a double and 26 runs scored.
Kristin Gunter is hitting .304 with a pair of home runs and 17 runs batted, while
Charlene Castro is hitting .294 with a team-high three home runs and 28 runs batted in. She is tied for the team lead in home runs with
Hailey Walker,
Amira James and
Hatty Shope.

Justine Jean (7-9, 8.48 ERA) leads the team with 109.1 innings pitched in 27 appearances, with 19 starts. Castro (3-3, 6.99 ERA) has recorded a pair of complete games and has a save for the Lady Hornets, while
Skyler Sullivan (5-8, 7.23 ERA) has thrown 66 innings for Alabama State.

First pitch Friday is scheduled for 6 pm, with the two teams playing a doubleheader Saturday beginning at 1 pm. Admission is free to all home softball games.
