@BamaStateBowl picks up pair of wins on second day in Jackson

JACKSON, Miss. | Alabama State picked up two wins in five matches in traditional play during the second day of the Sonic Boom Invitational in Jackson, Miss.

Alabama State (18-18) began their Saturday with a win as they defeated Grambling State 937-654. However, Alabama State would drop the following match against Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) foe Texas Southern (990-915.)

After defeating in-conference opponent Southern (1003-843), the Hornets would fall in their final two matches to Drury (977-914) and Louisiana Tech (975-926) to end traditional play.

Alabama State currently sits in third place with Gabrielle Hosein, Miranda Remmel, Bailee Chapman and Alize Stevenson appearing within in the top 20 participants. The Hornets have totaled 9,291 pins with an average of 185.8 pins per game.
