BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Alcorn State's Peterson Saint-Cyrin and Alabama State's Arion Span were named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Runners of the Week following strong performances at the Mississippi College Opener and Strut's Season Opener.

Span led all Alabama State runners in the Strut's Season Opener hosted by Jacksonville State last week with a top 12 finish. Span finished 12th overall on the women's side with a time of 15:11.10, with the top 13 runners in the women's race all coming from in-state schools.
