MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Graduate student Shamia Jones was named the SWAC Runner of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday afternoon.

Jones, an Albany, Georgia native, set a personal best at the Southern Showcase in Huntsville with a time of 18:34.

Jones paced a Lady Hornets squad that saw all six student-athletes set personal records.

The Lady Hornets return to action on Sept. 27 at the Florida State Invitational.
