MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State will hit the road for its first mid-week, non-conference contest of the 2020 season Wednesday, as the Lady Hornets travel to Starkville, Miss., to face off with Mississippi State at Nusz Park.
First pitch in the contest has been changed to 2 p.m. due to impending weather and will be broadcast live on SEC Network+.
The Lady Hornets went 2-3 during their opening weekend tournament at the Lion Classic hosted by Southeastern Louisiana – beating SWAC foe Grambling State and shutting out Buffalo. The Bulldogs (4-0) won the NFCA Leadoff Classic in Clearwater, Fla., over the weekend. Their only loss was in an exhibition game with Team USA, who is currently preparing for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
