@BamaStateSB Opens Home Slate with Stinger Classic

MONTGOMERY, Ala. | It's been 285 since the Alabama State Softball team hoisted the SWAC Championship Trophy at the Barbara Williams Softball Complex on May 11. A new, but just as hopeful, Lady Hornet squad will take to that same field Friday for the first time in 2020 when they host the seven-team Stinger Classic.

Alabama State (4-5) will welcome Grambling State, Howard, Murray State, North Alabama, Southeast Missouri and South Carolina State. The Lady Hornets will play SC State Friday at 12 p.m. and Saturday at 11 a.m., SEMO Friday at 6 p.m. and Grambling Sunday at 3 p.m.

Due to copious amounts of rain in the Montgomery area over the past week, Friday's games – that were originally slated to start at 9 a.m. – will now begin at 10 a.m. with North Alabama against Howard.
