D'IBERVILLE, Miss. | Alabama State kept pace with Prairie View A&M on the second day of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) East Roundup Saturday.
Alabama State dropped in the conference standings as the regular season ends this weekend, dropping three of their five matches on the day at the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) East Roundup Friday. Alabama State (49-37, 15-7Â SWAC) began their day by dropping their initial match to the top-seeded Prairie View Panthers (894-956).
That loss sparked the beginning of a three-game win streak as the Hornets defeated Grambling State (916-623), and Southern (898-801) before ending the day with a victory over Texas Southern (962-791).

Miranda Remmel, and
Bailee Chapman are in the top ten of the individual standings, with Chapman fifth overall.
Alabama State returns to action on the final day in the SWAC East Roundup looking to overtake Prairie View A&M on Sunday.
