D'IBERVILLE, Miss. | Alabama State closed out the regular season in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), finishing third after the SWAC East Roundup Sunday afternoon.
Alabama State (51-38, 17-8 SWAC) entered the day trailing Prairie View A&M and needed to win all of their matches and get some help from other teams in the conference. The Lady Hornets started the day exactly how they needed to with wins over Grambling State (999-705) and Alabama A&M (923-852), before falling to Prairie View A&M (950-859) in their final match.
The Lady Hornets finished 6-6 overall in the SWAC East Roundup.

Allison Sledge and
Bailee Chapman finished in the top 10 of the individual standings; with Stevenson finishing fourth overall with an average of 184.83.
Alabama State returns to action Friday when they travel to Jonesboro (Ark.) to play in the Mid-Winter Classic, hosted by Arkansas State.
