@BamaStateBowl runs the table on day one of TNBA/HBCU, wins five matches

ATLANTA, Ga. | Alabama State went undefeated on the opening day of the TNBA/HBCU Invitational in Atlanta Friday afternoon, winning all five matches.

In the first match of the day, Alabama State (60-46) eased past Morgan State 1047-972, before they ran past Coppin State in their second match of the day 1016-861. They continued their run in the tournament when they defeated Florida A&M 899-842, and Johnson C. Smith 887-703 to start the day with four consecutive matches.

They finished off the opening day of the tournament with a 994-709 victory over in-state rival Alabama A&M.

Alabama State leads the tournament in total pins at 4843, and lead in average at 193.7 pins per game through the opening day. The Lady Hornets return to action Saturday with five traditional games.
