BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Alabama State volleyball will begin the Southwestern Athletic Conference Tournament as the No. 4 seed, hosted in Huntsville, Ala. From November 19-21.
 
Alabama State (15-16,12-4 SWAC) will face fifth-seeded Grambling State (11-16, 8-8 SWAC) at 1:30 pm on Friday. The Hornets swept the Tigers in Grambling in their only matchup of the season on October 31.
 
With a win, Alabama State will face the winner of the tournament's opening match on Friday at 11:00 am between No. 1 Jackson State/No.8 Texas Southern for a chance to advance to the semifinal round of the tournament.
 
The championship match is scheduled for Sunday, November 21 at 3 pm and will be broadcast on ESPN+.
