HOUSTON, Texas |Â Alabama State picked up wins over Alabama A&M and Jackson State on day two of the Track Kat Klash hosted by Sam Houston State.

Alabama State (21-15) dropped games against three ranked opponents to start the day – the first to No. 9 Louisiana Tech 1071-870, before falling to No. 18 Lincoln Memorial 988 -936 and No. 1 Nebraska 922-908. The matchup against the Cornhuskers was the Hornets sixth against ranked opponents in two days and 17th of the season.

The Hornets rebounded in the next few games, picking up a win over Alabama A&M 944-816 followed by another against Jackson State 937-839.

Savanna Razor (Columbia, S.C.) led all Hornet bowlers on led all bowlers on Saturday with a 205 average including a high game of 237.
Bailee Chapman (Gonzales, La.) also finished the day in the top 25 with a 197 average.Â

Alabama State returns to the lanes on Sunday closing out the Tournament against Valparaiso in the Emerald Bowl.

ABOUT EMERALD BOWL
Emerald Bowl has been home to some significant events in NCAA history, with the very first women's bowling championships in 2004 played at the facility where Nebraska defeated Central Missouri. In 2006, the championships returned to Emerald Bowl when Fairleigh Dickinson defeated Alabama A&M.
