ARLINGTON, Texas | Alabama State heads west in search of their second Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) title in four years as they begin play in the SWAC Championships on Friday.
The championship will run Friday through Sunday, beginning with the qualifying rounds Friday morning. Total pinfall from those matches will determine the seeding for the remainder of the double-elimination tournament with the top six teams advancing.
The competition rounds begin on Saturday and will continue through Sunday with Baker format (best four of seven) will be utilized. Teams will be seeded one through six based on their total pin fall in the qualifying tournament with the top two seeds receiving a bye.
The champion will be crowned at the conclusion of the tournament on Sunday. The championship match will air tape-delayed on ESPNU on March 29.
