MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State will play a pair of mid-week games beginning Wednesday afternoon against 19th-ranked Georgia before returning home for a doubleheader against Tuskegee on Thursday.
The contest against Georgia will be the second game this season for Alabama State against a nationally ranked opponent, having faced eighth-ranked Alabama at home in mid-February. The two teams have faced each other two other times, both wins by the Bulldogs including a 9-1 victory in 2020.
First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 pm (et).
The game against Georgia will be streamed by the SEC Network+ through the WatchESPN app, with live stats provided. Due to COVID-19 and social distancing guidelines in Athens, guests will be permitted through a "Player Pass List" only. Admission will not be open to the general public. For student-athlete families and guests, social distancing measures will be in effect while in the stadium and face coverings will be required. Only cashless payments will be accepted at Jack Turner Stadium for concessions.
Meanwhile, the Lady Hornets will host Tuskegee in a doubleheader beginning at 3 pm Thursday afternoon. It will be the only time the two teams will meet this season and will be the first of four consecutive home games spread out over the next week for Alabama State.
Due to COVID-19 protocols, only those listed on the Player Pass List will be allowed entry into the Barbara Williams Softball Complex. All concessions will be cashless throughout the season and the Alabama State University campus – including its athletic venues – are mask mandatory.
