ARLINGTON, Texas | Alabama State saw its season end at the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Championships in their third match of the day on Saturday.
Alabama State opened the day as the number four seed defeating Alabama A&M 4-1. The Lady Hornets jumped on top with wins in the first two series, before dropping the third. Leading 2-1, Alabama State closed out the match with 179-164 and 155-145 wins.
The Lady Hornets fell in their second match of the day to Prairie View A&M 4-1 after falling behind following the first two games. They were able to get a win in the third game 202-193, before Prairie View A&M closed out the match.
Alabama State's season would end with a 4-0 loss to Southern in their next match.
