PINE BLUFF, Ark. | Alabama State closes out their first road swing in Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) play at H.O. Clemmons Arena on Wednesday night against UAPB.
The game is scheduled to tip at 7:30 pm.
Alabama State (2-11, 1-0 SWAC) ended a 15-game road losing streak on Monday night with an 84-75 victory over Mississippi Valley State, also ending a six-game losing streak overall this season. The Hornets were able to build a double-digit lead and hold off a late rally down the stretch for the conference-opening victory.

GAME NOTES
- Alabama State defeated Mississippi Valley State in their conference opener on Monday night with only eight players available. Kenny Strawbridge (Rockford, Ill.) scored a career-high 27 points in the victory for the Hornets.
- E.J. Clark (Dallas, Texas) had a career night with 14 points and seven assists, while Isaiah Range (Cedar Hill, Texas) added 16 points and eight rebounds. Michael Barber (Jackson, Miss.) collected a career-high 11 rebounds in the win.
- Junior forward Gerald Liddell (Cibolo, Texas), who missed Monday night's game at Mississippi Valley State, was named the SWAC Impact Player of the Week after scoring 16 points on the road against then-No. 16/17 Texas. The award is the second for the Hornets in three weeks with Kenny Strawbridge (Rockford, Ill.) winning the award the week of December 15.
- Head coach Mo Williams has missed the last three road games as he and his wife Antonia were awaiting the birth of their son, who was born on January 3. During his absence, associate head coach Trey Johnson served at the helm of the Hornets.
- Alabama State has played a pair of teams that were ranked at the time (Texas and Texas Tech) and played Iowa State who climbed to as high as eighth this week in the polls. They also played Iowa (receiving votes), before games against No. 4/3 UCLA and Memphis (receiving votes) were postponed due to COVID-19 protocols inside their opponents' programs.
- The Hornets have the fourth toughest schedule in the country according to ESPN trailing only conference foes Prairie View A&M, Alcorn State, and Texas Southern.
- Alabama State has started nine different lineups this season, making them one of eight teams that have started seven different lineups or more this season.
- Only five players on this year's team have suited up and played against UAPB.
