Hornets Cross Country Competes at UAB Blazer Classic

MONTEVALLO, Ala. - The Alabama State men's and women's cross country team competed in the 2022 UAB Blazer Classic today (Oct. 14) at the Montevallo Cross Country Course.

MEN'S 8K RESULTS

The men's cross country team finished in 11th place out of 18 teams with a total time of 2:17.44 and an average time of 27:32.

Abdiqadir Mohamed led the way for the Hornets as he finished in tenth place (24:26.80) on the day. Christian Myles wrapped up the day in 99th place (27:43.0). Jon Coulter comes in two places behind Myles in 101st place (27:46.9).

Amos Beadle recorded a 117th place finish (28:32.9) with an average mile of 5:44.6. Khabeeba Mills finished in 135th place (29:14.9), followed by Preston Walton in 152nd place (31:09.9).

WOMEN'S 6K RESULTS

Shamia Jones finished in 52nd place (23:40.5), followed by Taliah Wickett in 90th place (25:16.6).

NEXT UP

Alabama State cross country is back in action on Monday, October 24, 2022, as they head to Birmingham, Alabama to compete in the SWAC Conference Championship.
