Alabama State wraps up day two of Mid-Winter Invitational

JONESBORO, Ark. | Alabama State picked up two more wins, this time through a traditional format, in the Mid-Winter Invitational presented by Kalmer Solutions at Hijinx Family Entertainment Center.

Alabama State (63-39, 17-7 SWAC) went 2-3 for the second day of competition, falling in their first match to Maryville (1,039-979). The Hornets responded in the second game, picking up a 923-879 win over nationally ranked Tulane before dropping a game to Tusculum 949-906. Alabama State won their second game over Kentucky Wesleyan (944-930) before falling to No. 7 McKendree (1,017-811) to end the day.
 
Alabama State finished day two 15th in total pinfall with 9,277 total pins through ten matches, 183 behind Drury and 131 pins ahead of Kentucky Wesleyan.

UP NEXT
Day three of tournament play will begin at 7:30 am with the senior day recognition and will conclude with three matches from the best-of-seven bracket format.
