Alabama State and ULM meet for the first time on Tuesday in Montgomery

Hornets enter non-conference contest after winning three of four this weekend

MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State returns to action at the Barbara Williams Complex with a single game against ULM on Tuesday afternoon. First pitch is scheduled for 2 pm.

Tickets are currently on sale at the Alabama State University Ticket Office and can be purchased the day of the game. Masks are required on the campus of Alabama State and inside all athletic venues along with social distancing, and all concessions are cashless.

  • Alabama State and ULM (12-4) will meet for the first time in school history on Tuesday afternoon and will mark the first non-conference weekday game at the Barbara Williams Softball Complex this season.
  • The Hornets will have a staff of pitchers to turn to including transfer Bailey Greenlee (Snohomish, Wash.) who leads the team with a 2.90 earned average after throwing a perfect game this weekend.

  • Alabama State enters the contest with a 7-8 record overall after winning three games this weekend at the HBCU Celebration Tournament.
  • The Hornets have a 3.98 overall earned average as a team with four pitchers seeing action in the circle, with three of the four having a 1-1 record led by Ashley Pye (Stockton, Calif.) with a 3.42 earned run average.
  • Kindall DeRamus (Helena, Ala.) leads Alabama State at the plate, hitting .451 with 13 runs scored, while Kiana Parrish (Stockton, Calif.) is hitting .344. Two others are over .300 so far through 15 games including Jazmine Dodd (Bentonville, Ark.) at .333 and Madison Myers (Brownsville, Tenn.) at .310.

  • ULM enters the contest after splitting their four games at the Auburn Invitational over the weekend.
  • Kassidy Giddens (4-0) leads the team in the circle with a 1.02 earned run average, while Kinsey Kackley (2-1) has recorded a 1.18 earned run average. All four pitchers for the Warhawks have a 2.43 earned run average or lower.
  • The Warhawks have six players hitting .300 or better on the season, led by Madelyn Fletcher at .407 and Lourdes Bacon at .400. As a team, the Warhawks have outscored their opponents 98-40.
