DALLAS, Texas | The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) will host the 2022 SWAC Women's Bowling Tournament on March 25-27 at the International Bowling Training and Research Center (ITRC) in Arlington (Texas).

The three-day event features the league's top six teams at the conclusion of the regular season. Participating teams in the tournament include Prairie View A&M (24-4), Alabama State (19-9), Southern (17-11), Texas Southern (15-13), Jackson State (14-14), and Florida A&M (12-16).

Prairie View A&M captured the 2022 SWAC regular season championship and enter the tournament as the two-time defending champions. Alabama State last captured the tournament championship back in 2017.

The tournament will feature five 5-person regular team games. Total pinfall from these matches will determine the seeding for the remainder of the double-elimination tournament. The tournament will roll into competition rounds on Saturday and Sunday with a six-team double elimination tournament. The tournament will use a Baker format (best four of seven), and teams will be seeded 1-6 based on their total pinfall in the qualifying round. The top two seeds will receive a bye.

In the event of a tie, the modified Baker will be used as the tie-breaking method.

Fans and spectators will be allowed at the event and admission will be free to the public.
