TUSCALOOSA, Ala. | Alabama State dropped an 8-0 contest to No. 4 Alabama at Rhoads Stadium on Tuesday night, the first of two consecutive games against nationally ranked teams. Alabama (29-4) used a no-hitter by Alex Salter to pick up the win over the Hornets, with
Kindall DeRamus (Helena, Ala.) reaching base via a walk for Alabama State.
Elle Lunsford (Lawrenceville, Ga.) suffered the loss for the Hornets in the circle, working 2.0 innings and allowing three runs off five hits. She was one of three pitchers used on the day for Alabama State.
