AUBURN, Ala. | Alabama State held No. 18 Auburn (28-4) to just seven hits in the non-conference affair at Jane B. Moore Field on a windy Wednesday night, but four of those were home runs accounting for five runs in a 6-2 loss to the Tigers.
Bailey Greenlee (Snohomish, Wash.), the first of two pitchers used in the game, gave up five runs (four earned) in the loss. Greenlee (10-8) allowed five hits and struck out one, while
Olivia Brown (Bonaire, Ga.) went the final inning and allowed one run off two hits. KK Dismukes (2-0) came out of the bullpen for Auburn to work four innings and allowed two runs on four hits in the win.
Alabama State (14-17) was held to four hits by four different players on the day.

- B1 | Makayla Parker led the game off with a solo home run down the left field line (Auburn, 1-0.)
- B2 | Aspyn Godwin added to the lead with a solo home run down the left field line, before Rose Roach drove in a run on an RBI groundout (3-0, Auburn).
- T5 | Greenlee reached on an infield error which led to Arianna Atchley (Millbrook, Ala.) and Lauryn Maher (Atoka, Tenn.) scoring (3-2, Auburn).
- B5 | Nelia Peralta hit a two-run home run to right center (5-2, Auburn).
- B6 | Bri Ellis connected on the fourth home run for Auburn in the game to straight away center (6-2, Auburn).
