MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State renews their rivalry with Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) East Division foe Jackson State this weekend in a three-game series at the Wheeler-Watkins Baseball Complex beginning Friday night at 6 pm. The series will continue Saturday at 6 pm and end with a single game on Sunday at 1 pm.
Alabama State (12-13, 4-3 SWAC) sits one game back of Bethune-Cookman in the division, while Jackson State (13-12, 1-5 SWAC) has struggled at the beginning of conference play this season after an undefeated conference regular season in 2021. The two have met 71 times since 2006 with Jackson State holding a 42-29 advantage. The Hornets won eight straight games during the 2016-17 seasons but have dropped the last six (all last season).
