DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. | Alabama State swept through the second day of the TNBA/HBCU Invitational on Saturday, running their record to a perfect 10-0 heading into bracket play on Sunday.
Alabama State opened play on Saturday with an 862-762 victory over conference foe Grambling State, before picking up their seventh win of the weekend with an 835-771 victory over Southern. They defeated another Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) foe in Florida A&M in their third match of the day, 896-894 before closing out their final two matches.
The Hornets picked up wins over Coppin State (851-849) and Jackson State (946-828) to close out the day. They continue to lead the tournament with 8,831 total pins and a 176.6 average.
