Series marks the official halfway point of the conference season

MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State hits the road for a three-game Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) series against Mississippi Valley State in Itta Bena (Miss.), officially marking the halfway point of the conference season. The series will start with a doubleheader on Friday beginning at 1 pm, followed by a single game at 12 pm on Saturday.

The series was scheduled to start on Thursday evening before rain moved the series to a Friday start. Alabama State (19-14, 10-2 SWAC) enters the weekend after a 7-4 non-conference victory over South Alabama at home on Tuesday night and has won three of their four conference series thus far this season (all sweeps).
